What Are The Responsibilities Of A CNA In Mississippi?

  • To supervise patients as well as to monitor and supervise their condition
  • To help them with the activities of daily life including basic personal care, mouth care, foot care, grooming, bathing, dressing and toileting
  • Provide household services such as laundry, heavy and light cleaning for the patient
  • Help the patient to compose a grocery shopping list, do the grocery shopping and prepare meals for the patient
  • Transport the patient to medical appointments, recreational events, community events or to run errands
  • Perform basic procedures such as taking vital signs and checking catheters
  • Document all changes in the patient’s condition and report to the Licensed Practical Nurse or another senior member of the Primary Health Care team.
