The videos on this page show examples of some of the most common procedures you will perform as a CNA. Here are a few things to remember before starting each procedure. Be sure you have the equipment you need. Review the steps of the procedure. Clean your hands. Be sure to provide for patient privacy and safety. Always introduce yourself and address the patient by name. Take a moment to describe the procedure to the patient and ask permission to perform the procedure. After performing the procedure, provide for patient safety and comfort. Finally, clean your hands, and record your results.
