Why become a CNA

While being a CNA can be stressful at times, it is also one of the most fulfilling and rewarding careers a person can enter into.  According to those at College Board, www.collegeboard.com, government economists anticipate the job growth for CNAs will increase faster than the average for all careers. The field for nurse assistants should be steady as the elderly population increases.  With the baby boomers aging there is more need for health care professionals.

The CNA position often is seen as an entry-level position for a long-term climb in a nursing career. However, many nursing assistants stay at this position for years, as this job is rewarding on many levels. The job requires that the CNA, depending upon the work environment, care for patients or clients and report to the RN or LPN on the patient’s condition.
