How long are the CNA training programs?

In Missouri, the state approved CNA programs will have a minimum of 75 hours spent in a classroom. During this time you will learn all about providing the activities of daily life for the client including feeding, bathing, dressing, personal care, foot care, massage, household duties and many other skills.

The second part of the training involves 100 hours of on the job training, which means that you will spend time in a licensed nursing home caring for patients under the supervisor of a Registered Nurse of Licensed Practical Nurse. Once you have successfully completed both your CNA classes and training, then you will move on to complete the examination before you can be entered into the Missouri Registry as an active certified nursing assistant.

How much will CNA training cost? I can’t afford an expensive program.

Depending on your specific training program, you can pay as little as $500 or as much as $1,000 for CNA classes in Missouri.
