What Is Involved In Arkansas CNA Programs?

Arkansas CNA programs consists of 90 hours (depending on the provider) and the facility that provides the training must be state-approved. Subjects covered include basic CNA training, infection control, the rights of the resident, performing lifts and transfers, back care, palliative care, bathing, personal care, taking vital signs and how to chart. First, you will need to take a practice exam, and while there are a great deal of practice tests available online, we highly recommend the one offered by Prometric. The test contains 50 questions and provides references and feedback as well as source material.

From there you will need to provide your first and last name, email address and password.

The knowledge test consists of 50 questions, the same as the practical test and can be conducted either in oral or a written format. Skills that are tested include hand washing, range of motion, feeding, sponge bathing, taking vital signs, dressing patients and indirect care as well as standard precautions for dealing with patients who have a communicable disease.
