Training
The job of a certified nursing assistant is an excellent entry point to get you started in nursing. You’re going to be involved in patient care on a very deep basis through making sure that the injured and the stick are having all of their basic needs met. You’ll be ready to start working as the certified nursing assistant in just 3-12 weeks depending on the program. Other than that you just have to have a high school diploma or equivalent.
The certified nursing assistant classroom instruction is going to include the basic nursing skills like, infection control, nutrition, physiology and anatomy. You’ll go through clinical trials which are going to give you a lot of hands on experience.

The regulations are going to vary dependent upon the state but most of the certified nursing assistant programs are going to require you to take a certification exam after the course you complete.
Career Outlook
By the time 2016 comes around the certified nursing assistant jobs market is expected to experience 28% growth. The home health aide segment is going to get the fastest growth as more and more people are preferring treatment in the home as an alternative to going into a nursing home or long term hospital stays.
